Little asks, clear terms
Terms of Use
These terms set the ground rules for using MyHoneyDo. Please read them before creating an account or joining a household.
Effective August 17, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of MyHoneyDo (“MyHoneyDo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They apply to myhoneydo.app and the related service (the “Service”). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What MyHoneyDo does
MyHoneyDo is a lightweight shared request list for two partners. It lets household members create, assign, edit, complete, reopen, and, where permitted, delete Honey Dos. The Service is a convenience tool, not a professional, emergency, safety, medical, financial, or legal service.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least the age of majority where you live and able to enter into a binding agreement. You must provide accurate account information, use an email address you control, and keep access to your email account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for promptly telling us about suspected unauthorized access.
4. Households and invitations
A MyHoneyDo household is limited to two active members. Invitation links are intended for the specific partner you choose. Do not publish an invitation link or send it to someone you do not want in your household. A person who accepts a valid invitation can see the shared household information described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the titles, details, display names, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and display Your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service and comply with law.
You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to submit it. Do not include highly sensitive information or content that unlawfully violates another person’s rights. Remember that Your Content in a household is shared with your active household partner.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- break the law, threaten, harass, abuse, stalk, or harm another person;
- submit content you do not have the right to use or that infringes another person’s rights;
- gain unauthorized access to an account, household, system, or data;
- distribute malware, interfere with the Service, probe security controls, or evade usage limits; or
- resell, scrape, reverse engineer, or exploit the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
7. Changes, availability, and data
The Service may change as it develops. We may add, modify, pause, or discontinue features and may perform maintenance without notice. We aim to provide a reliable Service, but we do not promise uninterrupted access or that every message or update will arrive immediately. Keep independent records of anything important.
A Honey Do’s creator may delete it. Contact hello@myhoneydo.app to request account or personal-information deletion, subject to the retention described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure, including Supabase, Vercel, and Resend. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, but we choose providers to support the operation of MyHoneyDo.
9. MyHoneyDo property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and original content other than Your Content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, or misuse the Service. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Terms that by their nature should continue after termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, and limits of liability.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyHoneyDo and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or CAD $100.
These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot be limited for fraud, wilful misconduct, or other non-excludable matters. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in Alberta will have jurisdiction, unless the consumer-protection laws where you live require a different forum or governing law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post revised Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice where required. If you continue using the Service after updated Terms take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
